Why have we chosen this painting to be sold?

We have chosen this product because we both like art. Painting our own creations we are realising "art", what we feel, what comes into our minds to people of our generation that do not have the possibility to access to renown artists but want unique creations. We think art is not only for wealthy people that can afford paintings that cost a lot of money. In art galleries the prices are too high, so I think with the new technologies such as the internet or new websites like eBay encourage people either to sell or buy a painting with affordable prices as we have less possibilities than wealthier people.
We want young people not to buy posters in Ikea for example, they can buy a unique or exclusive creation may be at the same price. We want young people to become more interested in art, and we also think this is a great way to start with.
Also, another point to mention is that our paintings are not second-hand products, so we think it is a positive point to think about!

On eBay we have also written the reason of why we have chosen this painting to be sold, to encourage people to buy it!

Our second chance selling on eBay!!

We have decided to post more items to sell on eBay and we have already post one of our paintings! One of us uses to paint in her free time and we thought it was a great idea to try and sell one painting and see how it goes...

So, when we posted the painting we decided to add two pictures and this costed us 0,88 pounds.
We have chosen the Royal Mail to send our item. For the Uk it will take 3-5 days to arrive and will be 10 pounds.
We have decided to charge 60 pounds for this painting.

We have sold our yellow bag for 16.00
We have received an email from paypal saying the buyer has paid 16.00 + 5.00 for shipping costs. We have contacted the buyer and told him that we are going to send the item as soon as possible.
Next week we are going to post more fashion products hoping to attarct more customers!

1st May 2008 ---> Our 2nd BID on eBay..!!

Today is the last day for our items to be on eBay....but we have had our SECOND BID on the Yellow Patented Bag again..!! The bid in this case is for 16 pounds when the starting price was 15 pounds...
One of us bought this bag for 6 pounds which we have made a lot more of profit!!
So now, we are very sure that we have sold an item, we just need to contact the person who did the bid, which is from the UK, and send him/her the bag!!

Our 1st BID on eBay!!!

We just checked out eBay profile and we are glad to see that we have received our first bid for one of our products!!

Someone has started the first bid for the yellow patented bag we are selling.

The price now is still £15.00 but now at least we know one of our items is going to sell and we hope more users get interested in the product so the price can go up!

28th April 2008: Another Item on eBay

We have posted our fifth product on eBay hoping to increase our chances of selling something because until now we havent got any bids..the item is a pair of brown mid-calf length Zara boots. These boots are very stylish and to us, they resemble the "Chloe" style because they are trendy, casual and girly.

One of us bought them in Miami last summer and they were aroun $60-70 so we have put the starting price for £25.00 because although they are in perfect condition and seem like new, they have been used once.
For the shipping costs we have charged £6.00 for UK by Royal Mail 1st Class Standard service. For European Union shippings we estimated £10.00 by Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) and using the same service for worldwide shippings but charging£12.00
Fot this item, same as with the other items we are selling, we have a no-return policy.

We have put 2 pictures on eBay of both sides of the boots so that the eBay users can appreciate the details and we have put an enlarged picture in the description.

The total price for posting this item including the extra pictures was £0.77

Today, after posting our items on eBay on Thursday, we have realised that we have Zero bids!!! and only 6 days left...!! On the other hand, we have had visitors on all of the products:

Brown Vintage-like Women's bag: 12 visits.

We are not only selling bags and shoes!! We are selling other kind of stuff like this fashionable topshop flower ring! It has an ivory colour with a silver ring. We think it has a unique and distinctive style and because of its colour it can be worn with anything.



We have decided to charge £6.00 for the product plus shipping costs. In this case due to the size and weight we charged much less than the other items. For European Union £2.00 by Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) Service and for worldwide shipping £3.00 by Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) Service as well.

For this item we have attached two pictures to show clearly the details of the ring and as the other products we have shown a larger image in the description. For the ring and all of the other products we are selling, we have a no-return policy.

We are getting used to selling on eBay!

We have posted this brown leather vintage-like women's bag on eBay today. This is a very casual, ready-to-wear shoulder bag which we have posted a starting price of £20.00 plus shipping costs. As we did with the patented yellow bag, we are charging £5.00 within the UK by Royal Mail 1st Class Standard Service. For the European Union we have charged £7.00 and for worldwide £9.00 both by Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) Service. These includes packaging costs plus shipping.

For this item we decided to put more pictures of the product in order to let the buyer appreciate better the details of the bag. We have also shown an enlarged photo in the description.

Our 2nd post on eBay

For our second item on eBay we have posted this brand new patented yellow shoulder bag which we think is very similar to the classic chanel bag which the brand has in many colours. We have found on the internet these pictures of Chanel bags in similar colours to the one we have posted on eBay.



The starting price for the bag is £15.00 and for the postage price we are charging £5.00 within the UK by Royal Mail 1st Class Standard Service. For the European Union we have charged £7.00 and for worldwide £9.00 both by Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) Service. These includes packaging costs plus shipping.

Our first post on eBay

We have posted out first item on ebay which are a pair of beige and bronze pumps from Miss Selfridges.

We think this pumps will be easy to sell because they are very similar to Marc Jacobs' Fall 2007 shoes. Here we have attached a picture of these luxury brand shoes to appreciate the resemblance between both of them.

The starting price for the shoes are £40.00 and for the postage price we have calculated that they weight no more than 900 gr so for United Kingdom we have chosen Seller's Standard Rate Service and charged £6.00. For the European Union we have chosen Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) and charged £10.00. Finally, worldwide shipping we have also used Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets) and charged £12.00

We have posted one picture and chose to show an enlarged picture of the shoes in the description which we think it will be easier for the buyer to appreciate the details of the product.

For the payment method we have chosen PayPal because it is easier, reliable and secure.

Initially we had thought about selling paintings and Abercrombie & Fitch clothing but we have decided to sell clothes, shoes and accessories that we had before but used only once as it we think it is easier to sell by getting rid of clothes we are not going to wear and at the same time make profit out of it.

We have looked in our closets for items that for some reason we have only used once or twice or are even new. Many of the items we found we bought in middle-range shops but they resemble higher end designer clothes like Marc Jacobs, Chloe etc. Due to this we are able to offer fashionable and trendy pieces at more reasonable prices.
